In this sculpture, the artist uses a piece of driftwood sculpted at length by the sea. 

An ancient, ancestral tree trunk which floated on the waves until it felt the summer solstice was favourable. Then, it threw itself onto the sand like a marine animal exposed to the dangers of a spring tide. 

The combination of different forms sculpted in the floating trunk by the force of the sea creates tensions and unexpected contradictions. Saliences and convexities which hold the gaze give rise to a wide variety of perspectives. Shadows and other effects of the light caused by the characteristics of the sculpture itself contrast with its dark core, which still secretes the tears of the sea ......  

Nesta escultura o autor utiliza um salvado da maré longamente esculpido pelo mar. 

Tronco antigo e ancestral que vogou no mar até sentir que o solestício de Verão estava a seu favor. E arrojou na praia como um animal marinho exposto aos perigos de uma maré viva. 

A combinação de diversas formas que a força do mar esculpiu no madeiro flutuante cria tensões e insuspeitas contradições. Saliências e convexidades, onde o olhar se detém, propiciam uma grande variedade de perspectivas. Sombras e efeitos de luz diversos, gerados pelas próprias características da peça escultórica, contrastam com o seu cerne escuro que segrega ainda as lágrimas marinhas ......
